Sanford hardly has a clean record when it comes to racial relations and how the police force has handled previous cases, unfortunately. So, regardless of what actually happened during this instance it is not going to put that organization in a good light.
Terrible situation all around.

The real sad part is the law change also immunized civil damages... this family will not even be able to get money.
The law was just ill-thought out... left a giant loophole for murder.

Yeah I don't get why people are still dwelling on the self defense law, when this guy was clearly not acting in self defense when he pursued and shot the poor kid.
