he's referring to the fact that illegals are responsible for 5 times as many fatal vehicle accidents. if you willingly ignore the law to keep those people on the road you are essentially saying you think its more important that illegals can drive than it is to protect people from the much higher number of accidents they cause.

Can't blame him, if we're not going to enforce immigration policy then why waste untold hours of manpower dealing with families full of immigrants crowding into the impound office boohooing because they're depending on the one paycheck to support them all and he/she can't get to work now, and the only reason they don't have a license is that they can't legally apply for one.
This has nothing to do with the average unlicensed citizen driver.

This decision will cost the LAPD millions in lawsuits.
Somebody is going to end up dead because of the LAPD choose to ignore a law and let some unlicensed driver keep his car.

Just build a separate road system for all the unlicensed/uninsured illegal drivers. It can be simple, lawless, Mad-Max style dirt roads, where they can crash into and kill each other in peace.
