The u23 team has a good bit of talent, just let it slip away.
It was the equivalent of letting the kickoff get returned for a TD as time expired.
Too bad for them, but they shouldn't have been that close. I watched all three games (cuba, canada and last night) and the US never should have been in that position.

I turned off that game last night at half-time. Terrible refereeing.
I don't care that we lost, the Olympics (and U23) is boring anyway. It's like college soccer.
But some of those kids could have got hurt. The El Salvadorians were just classless. Brek Shea gets hip checked on either side, spun in the air 3 times, and lands hard....and the ref didn't even show a card.

It doesnt matter if it was U23 or not, we need to give our thanks to whomever is keeping this farce of a "sport" from the US. We dont need our children thinking this 3rd world country activity is acceptable here.

Yes. I'd much prefer we stick with sports where poor kids everywhere can grow up to become rich criminals.
Let's discuss these other "sports".
Football: 90% of the team is morbidly obese. The game is not being played more than it is being played. Which accounts for the fatassedness.
Baseball: 90% of the team does nothing for most of the game but watch. Thrilling!
Basketball: I don't even watch this lunacy, so I can't even comment. But they're all criminals. Don't ask me how a single dunk ever makes it on Sportcenter as a "highlight". You're 12 feet tall. It's about as impressive as me dunking a crumpled up paper towel at the trash can.
Hockey: The players can't play for more than 2 minutes, or they become "gassed" and therefore, 90% ineffective.
Yeah. You're right. Let's stick with what makes America proud. Laziness.
