I appreciate almost everything but after working 55-65 hours a week and takeing care of kids while my wifes is in school. is starting to make me feel unappreciated.

I dont have a need for it anymore.
its nice but I have been #1 or the person getting some award enough times, that I dont seek out the recognition anymore.
I told my boss, if you want to show your appreciation for me then put it in my paycheck.

I like to show genuine appreciation and sincerity when dealing with others at work, or at a business. However, much like D_E, I always feel uncomfortable when the spotlight is tossed my direction. I don't relish it, nor do I look forward to it.
I appreciate my wife and all she's done, but I'm not so great at vocalizing it to her all the time. It's kind of odd that I'm a little different with my family than I am with people I work with or deal with in public. Go ahead, ACF psychologists, tell me why that is.
