Littlefinger: Knowledge is power
Cersei: Seize him. Slit his throat. Hold. Back up 3 paces. Turn around. Close your eyes. *all intense* Power is power.

Cersei, oh you beautiful ***** you!

Is to dance with Jak o' the Shadows.

They really cast the show well, I have to say that much and they are holding true to the books. BT hasn't read them so I often have to remind myself not to comment on something that happens in the future.

If they were holding true to the books, they would take a long pause and zoom in on every single bit of food you see on screen.

What is this a reference to? I read the books, but I don't get it.

Ohhhh. No no no, those chapters never happened, you are just a lazy reader and the thousand page books were getting to you. The food descriptions were scant in comparison to a lot of fantasy I have read. Try "In the Hall of the Dragon King," where you actually will have pages dedicated to food. Martin had the right level of description

whaaaaatt?

Martin spends at least 2 paragraphs A CHAPTER describing food. Sometimes way more. It could be a battle scene but they'll still pull out food, greasy chicken dripping down their faces, cold sausage, a mug of ale and then somehow continue to the battle.

Unless you're reading a cookbook, not sure what you're reading that tops Martin for food description.

It could be a battle scene but they'll still pull out food, greasy baked chicken coated with a light basil dust, braised raisins, crushed roasted almonds wrapped in lightly toasted bacon dripping down their faces, cold sausage trenchers with roasted carrots seasoned with marigold with a hint of licorice, washed down with a mug of Southron ale, and then somehow continue to the battle.
