My commute to work is 2-3 minutes, depending on whether I hit the one stoplight or not.
Cannot relate.

That can be good and bad.. you'll also always be the guy that has to go in cause you're so close.
but I would still take the chance.

45 minutes is my max commute time that I can stand, after that I get real edgy. Even during rush hour from where I live it never takes that long.
We have gnarly traffic going to other parts (westside) of the island though.
I knew all this before I bought a house which is why I am where I am.
Nowhere I go to on the island other than the North Shore and Makaha, takes more than 35 minutes to get to from my house on the windward side.

45-50 minutes for me most days
2nd shift is fine here (DC area) but they'd have to throw lots of money at me to get me to go to 1st shift where my drive home varied from 1.5-3 hours
for you locals, i drive from Centreville, VA to Germantown, MD so 66-495-270
Ew. You could not pay me enough to do that commute.
