2 favorites from the Hollywood Bowl was one Elton John show where he had mermaides swimming in the moats and then Alice Cooper for the Schools Out concert. He had helicopters dropping pink panties on the crowd. Then chopped his head off with a huge guillotine. He was crazy fun in concert.

I've really never been much of one for concerts, but my husband and I went to see Leaving, Texas in their Iowa hometown pretty much- small nightclub style venue. The music and the band were awesome, we had a good time chatting with them before everything started up, but I don't remember very much of the actual concert. My eye started to bother me about 15 minutes after the music started- went to the bathroom to see if there was an eyelash or something in my eye, but nope- there was a filmy spot on the iris and I knew exactly what THAT meant. Every few years the normal bacteria in my eye goes a little nuts and causes a non-contagious eye infection that won't clear up without these medicated steroid/antibiotic eyedrops. Hurts like crazy- can't keep my eyes open and it feels like sand in my eye the whole time, even with them closed. So I'm sitting at our little table, with my eyes closed, trying to listen to the music and ignore the ow in my eye and at the same time trying NOT to fall asleep because I was actually pretty dang comfortable otherwise- yeah it was a night of which I don't much remember

IRON MAIDEN x 12 (#13 coming up in July with Alice Cooper opening) ever since 1986 Somewhere in Time tour
Queensryche X 3 (Maybe the best concert I've ever seen, when they performed Operation Mindcrime in its entirety. Rosemont Horizon, 1991
Metallica X 3 when they were good (i.e half of the Black album)
Rob Zombie. Really enjoyed his show, even though I went for Lacuna Coil.
Lacuna Coil X 3. Opened for Rob Zombie on one of them
Judas Priest X 2.
Alice Cooper (saw with Priest, Holiday Star plaza)
Iced Earth X2. Opened for Megadeth
Metal Church x 2 (R.I.P. The Thirsty Whale)
Rush X 3
Cheap Trick (opening for Heart. Went for Cheap Trick, stayed for Heart).
Heart. Meh..
Motorhead (open for Maiden)
Dio (open for Maiden)

And on the "not so proud" side of things..
Duran Duran (don't ask.. you know, the Mrs' birthday..)
Hall and Oats - first "real" concert, my high school girlfriend's parents took us
The Monkees original 80's reunion
Kool and the Gang. I really liked the girl who wanted to go.

Queensryche and Dream Theatre was my favorite of theirs. The 2 bands brought the house down when they did a set together.

LOTS of bands named here that I wish I had seen!

Ones I did see were:

Opeth (several times in NY city)

The Eurythmics

The Pretenders

Thomas Dolby

Jackson Browne

The Doobie Brothers

The Allman Brothers at the old Painters Mill Music Fair in Baltimore

Pablo Cruise

Crack the Sky

Genesis

Fleetwood Mac touring w/ America (Last time I ever went to an open seating concert)

Porcupine Tree

Joe Jackson (RUDE Performer!!)

Dire Straits

Lyle Lovett

Rickie Lee Jones

Steely Dan

Chicago

Crosby Stills & Nash

Jimmy Buffett

Little Feat

I know there are more but those are the ones that spring to mind most quickly I never enjoyed BIG arenas like the former Capital Center in Maryland and was actually almost trampled there weeks after the Rolling Stones had several people die that way at one of their concerts.

Favorite venue was by far Merriweather Post Pavilion the way it was back-in-the-day when you could bring
all the food and drink you wanted into shows. Wolf Trap and Saratoga Springs were nice places also to see a concert

For indoors and small, it was Painters Mill, before someone torched it in the early 90's.

Truly...
