I liked Eccelsten. He had the good luck to draw a few of the all time best Dr. Who episodes ever written. If you haven't encountered them yet stick with hi series at least through "The Empty Child" and "The Doctor Dances". The standalone episode "Dalek" was also great for it's truly dark tone. As the re-introduction of the Dalek's it finally showed the menace of the otherwise mobile trash cans. Tennant in the end was the better doctor, and one of the all time best. But his run did start off a bit uneven until they got the feet under his interpretation.
