Update on Nature Overhaul. Got it working. I love it, no longer have to build dirt stacks to take out tops of trees, just chop out one of the bottom two pieces of the tree and all the logs fall to the ground the the leaf blocks start falling too, some into saplings. Trees shed saplings as well so a forest are will grow. Love the apples growing on trees in certain biomes as well. Haven't seen snow/rain fall yet, will have to journey to an area of the with with snow. Had to make a pot after figuring it out(blind luck actually)

Next update is supposed to have full weather systems (thunderstorms and all, om nom nom). Was included in the official release date announcement.
Also, Notch did a massive IAmA thread on reddit. (Yes I self linked instead  )
Anyways, why is it everything I look at these days reminds me of something I saw in minecraft?!
