It is a lot of files to pull over though so might take a while. I'll keep an eye on it while I work though and get it back up and running as soon as I can.

Yeah somewhere around your house is corrupted or something. I run around, warp around and generally test performance fine then I warp to your house and bam, lol.
I have to dig up that script and check for bad chunks.

yikes.
if its just my house/area would it be faster just to delete the damaged blocks and generate/copy+rename in new ones? id hate to loose all of my stuff but it save you work. plus starting over isn't such a bad thing.

No corrupted chunks found. Dunno why it would grind like that just because the HDDs went on lockout. Being on a ramdisk with plenty of memory all the lockout should've done is meant the backups would fail horribly and the maps would stop generating.
Weird thing is is even on my main computer it locks up when I am around your place.
EDIT: Not knowing which chunks are causing the problem cutting them out will be hard. I found it really odd that no bad chunks were found though. I'll know more once I get the OS back up and copy the world back over.

could it be TNT blocks inactive? i pulled a prank on my brother a while back.
there is also my cactus farm down there which puts out a lot of cactus which causes tons of lag.
