In my SP game my mob collector seems to deliver ink sacs now and then. This means that squids are spawning in flowing water.
It even delivered a squid.
Poor thing twitching there without water.

the server backups happens faster than normal. did you upgrade something?

The backups are incremental. If nobody has explored new terrain and few chunks have been modified the backup goes quick because it has little to do.

Sure seems so. I've been playing SSP 1.3 since I haven't even looked at Rift.
Once nice new thing is that when it generates desert the lowest level of sand is sandstone. You can dig underneath without continually getting sand dumped on your head.

I just built a new grinder too.

Can either take the wooden stairs to the grinder or follow the signs to the water latter to the top. There is a water drop from up top also.
