well if you see anyone running around w/ : eff 4 silk touch pickaxe, a couple stacks of arrows, a stack of brick, a stack of obsidian, a few glowstone blocks, a bunch of coal, a number of gold blocks, 5 or 6 diamond blocks, diamonds (over 30), a few odds and ends... plus a bunch of wool/dyes and some gold/iron bars too, then yea, thats them!

Huh I found a bunch of stuff like that in a dungeon chest. In fact, I found exactly that stuff.

did you by chance move them from one chest to another recently?

I logged back in and I had 7 picks I had used up, I had lost all the cobble that those 7 picks had given me, but the area still was mined.

We had a minor rollback but if you weren't logged in when the server crashed or for roughly 30 minutes before you wouldn't have lost anything. The only weirdness with when I do a recovery is if you are logged in your profile doesn't save even when I tell it to so your avatar (inventory, location in the world, spawn point, etc) could rollback far more than the rest of the world.

The world itself is pretty safe though as I have 30 minutes automated backups going and they have proven to be rock solid when I needed them. Pretty much a must have since the server runs on a ramdisk so in a crash the world would vanish.

I know, you told me yesterday that happened I just wonder if his missing stuff is because he was moving it at the time.

Yeah, actually the main reason I replied was to make sure everyone understood what happened during a recovery and how it can throw your inventory out of sync with the world. I figure bukkit 1.1 recommended will be up soon, if it isn't already, and when that happens I'll be implementing LWC and WE/WG. I was hoping not to have to do that but I guess it has to be.

Just go looking through chests... nobody will mind.
