Don't let him kid you... the only ones worth anything are the grass blocks. 
I just tore a path through my wall and courtyard to get grass back to my animal pens, lol. I would've loved to have some grass blocks then.

Only obtainable with Silk Touch.

Minecraft is unplayable for me now
I crash every few minutes anytime it rains i'm crashing in 30 seconds i cannot run from place to place with out running out of memory or something i don't know what it is TBH as i can never read the error reports because it goes blank as the report comes up
i've reinstalled miencraft and java multiple times now
anyone else have this issue? i'm googling it but everything i see is old

How much ram do you have available?
You can try launching MC with more ram allocated to java. (Still looking for Steel's post for that.)

I had the problem for awhile. I tried installing and reinstalling 32 and 64 bit javas (I'm only running win 7 32) several times. Like you said, it was almost unplayable. After release I haven't had a problem, AS LONG AS I don't have the render distance in the options set to farthest. Anything else I don't have a problem anymore.
And as far as the allocation, hopefully it works for you because it didn't with me. But yeah check out steels post and see if it helps.

This is the error I was getting, not sure if yours is the same problem since you can't see your error.

This could be caused by a bug in the game or by Java Virtual Machine not being allocated enough memory. If you are playing in a web browser, try downloading the game and playing it offline.
To prevent level corruption, the current game has quit.
Please restart the game.

If you are having memory problems Drack download the jar version of the launcher here and put it somewhere. Create a bat file in the same location with the following lines. Change the 2048M spots to whatever memory you can spare and change the c:\minecraft\ to wherever you put it.
