This is easy to avoid. update the client, then open your MC directory and replace everything but the verson's file in the updated bin to the old bin.

Haha yeah... Replacing everything except the version file gives me a nice Done downloading screen with the download bar about 80% done forever.

1.7.2 Bukkit version up.
From testing on my local server:
I updated my plugins that had newer versions than I was using. (Worldguard and Worldedit are unchanged. WG and WE appear to be working fine.)
The only issue I've found in testing on my server (didn't try pistons yet.) is that the bonus coloured wool from DropBonus is all white. Something changed with damage values is my guess. Otherwise it appears to be working, not bad for an inactive plugin. Creaturebox seems to be working fine still (and it's even older.)

MCPatcher HD fix 2.1.0_02 works.
Misa's testure pack is already up. (I'm working on my tweaks right now.)
Convenenient Inventory is already updated.
I'm pretty much set.

Perhaps, but I even did a search for minecraft and deleted everything. Then downloaded a new client....
So yeah... Cleared out the .minecraft, didn't even have my account saved anymore once I was done. I didn't even have a shortcut left to click on...

So yeah... Cleared out the .minecraft, didn't even have my account saved anymore once I was done.
My desktop shortcut pointed at a random folder where I dropped the .exe for the launcher. But if you ran a search for it, that should have found it.

Hehe, at this point I was pretty sure of that.
Beats me what's going on then. The newer launcher asks if you want to update.
So once it's at whatever version, I dump my older version of stuff in the bin directory, launch. Choose "Not Now" and play the old one.
