I like the server much better now than before. It is much more stable and there is even more people playing now. Also the only mods on there right now I think is set home and warps, so it has a very vanilla feeling to it which is a way I prefer. Lots of fun!
I've only been able to play a decent amount the last week or so, but I've noticed a very nice change in it.
We are working on removing warps and going with gates. I am not a big fan of people being able to set their own warps and think warping all around detracts from the size of the world.

I think the community is awesome.
Thanks to everyone who helped last night.
I was deep in a mine full of loot, including diamonds. I died. I ran back buck naked and couldn't find it. I was surrounded by darkness and monster noises. I asked for help and had two people there in less than 60 seconds. More were asking if I still needed help.
Sadly everything was gone. I was furious. Not because I died but mad at myself for not getting out sooner. I thought I should leave when I found the diamonds. I thought I should leave again after I grabbed some more iron. Then I got attacked by creepers from a dark passage. Again I thought I should leave. But no. My dumbass self decided to throw down a few torches in that passage for when I came back. I got ambushed by a zombie and died.
In any event. It was awesome that everyone came to my aid so quickly. The offers of iron and other items to help me recover were also very generous.

I've done that so many times 
I keep swearing I'll be more careful, but nope there I go falling down a hill or into lava. Can't even count how much stuff I've lost lol

All that has been pretty much fixed, from time to time there is lag but that's going to happen. I don't have problems with crashing and I know the minimap that we're using now runs individual of the client so it works pretty well. (I didn't use the last one so I'm not sure if it's the same or not)

The new server is very, very nice. It's like playing SSP.
One other thing about the community. Last night when the question about how much griefing goes on was asked I was thrilled to answer "None".
