Finally got a few of my larger projects connected via rail and have decided to return to skull castle to do more interior. Thought I'd tackle the cranial vault but can't come up with any really great ideas lighting wise so thought I ask for suggestions here. From floor of the vault to the top is about 35 blocks or so and diameter is huge. You can get an idea from the exterior pics above, the top of skull is at the cap, another block cannot be place.

I had in mind some sort of temple like setting with lava falls or a moss stone brain with a throne on top.

Any ideas?

Humm....maybe a water/lava double helix then maybe MCEdit in some monster spawners. The towers extend into the cranial vault so you could attack the monsters from the ramparts then attempt to recover your loot without getting killed. Leave a passage open so they could also escape into the rest of the castle. Have made all the rooms have ceiling tall enough to allow ogres so it could make for fun time to wake up to an ogre kicking your butt out of bed.

just to clarify, did the building permissions carry over?

IE You don't have permission to build here if I go to say mithans house or does that have to be reset?

I imported it... as with everything else though I suggest testing it as it may look right to me but I can't really test it since as op/admin I can do anything. Let me know what isn't acting like it should/did and or what you can no longer do or can do but shouldn't be able to do and I will work on correcting it.

As for the warps/home I will be converting them over then we really need to clean up the warp list, lol. My intent is to get rid of the MyWarp/MyHome plugins since they've forked and are one more thing I have to keep track of.

My intent is to get everything back up and running then to add a nether and a brand new world. That should give everyone the options they want.

Decided to go with a lava & water double helix that extends from sea level to one block down from cap. Thankfully I already have a tone of glass cooked. Someone needs to make a helper/slave/builder mod. Or maybe co-op that works on SP. I figure 2-3 nights before it's finished. Going to use single player commands so I can fly because without it I envision a lot of falling to my death.....lol
