Builder in shocking 'hammer lodged in head' accident
A Chinese builder made a lucky escape from a hammer by surviving the tool becoming lodged in his face after falling three metres onto the ground at work.

Yuan Dongjiang was left with the claw hammer embedded in his forehead and left eye socket while dismantling a warehouse roof in Nanning, southern China’s Guangxi province.
The 40-year-old was working on the construction site with several other workers when the accident occurred.
Despite the hammer being lodged in his face, he Yuan was still conscious when he arrived at the hospital and was thinking clearly.
X-rays showed the hammer had thrust into his forehead and his eye, but luckily it didn’t damage his eye.
Doctors managed to remove the hammer and Yuan is currently recovering in hospital.
