Look up the word, "stifling," and then you will have an idea of how I feel about people that use their grandiose maturity to kill humor dead.
OP didn't provide any humor to be stifled, just a dumb and way overused "joke" that will probably only remain funny to preteens and Dane Cook fanatics.
