At worst, they're straight shitty players. Honestly though, half of them probably played as cerebrally as anyone today, just that the skill curve has constantly been building up.

nobody ran through back then, got lag stuns off, nobody swapped weapons (other than sneaks)
nobody tricked anyone into purging numb (except me) nobody backpeddled in water, nobody swapped out 2h, swung then switched back to shield.
nobody did this shit back in the day. players have been gettiing smarter over time.
so you may have killed mfkers back then, but if you can't do it now, you didnt have skill they just lacked it.

they had just specialized on TOA, and we had specialized on classic, that's really all the difference.
