A lot of sites have it set up so that you can not link directly to their images. Most likely the image was in your cache from viewing it and when you posted it it just saw it there or something.
So how do you get around it? Do you save the img then rehost out?

Although if you use Firefox there are add-ons that make it easier. You can transload them lots of time straight from the webpage to Imageshack or Pict.com...
