Yes if JC dailies in Cata require cata gems then obvioulsy they have to wait. Cooking daily in Dalaran often used cooking mats only available in Northrend contnent, though some did not (wine and cheese platter for instance). Since ALL of the new cooking ones are done without actually needing any materials from new Cata zones or mobs, I thought maybe JC would be the same. No biggie, it's only a week. There is no consitency in how they implement profession recipe acquisition, that's for sure. enchanting, you use shards. Letherworking, you use hides. Cooking, you have to use tokens which are only got by doing dailies. JC, almost the same as cooking, but also with titanium poweder if you want. No consistency is not a biggie, it just lends to speculation and pondering why things are different.

it's possible the cooking dailies will require some sort of cata-specific food stuffs

I guess they could put more in after Dec 7, but so far I have done 4 of the 5 listed in the new cooking achievment, and none do.

OK now that Dec 7 has come and gone.. still no JC daily quests. Anyone know what's up with these? I haven't been able to find anything about this anywhere, and nobody knows in game either?

Just found a post on the community site forums that says you need 475 skill first before the quest will show. How ridiculous if that's the case.. would have been nice to put some indication in game of the level requirement for these.
