I noticed that there is a crap load of herbs and mining nodes everywhere and the spawn rate is faster than normal.

Anybody else notice this or am I mistaken?

I am going to assume that Blizzard took steps to combat the AH...

It only makes sense for them to be increased, at least for the time being. I don't think it would fly to well with the populace if nodes were on 10-15 minute timers at the moment.

Absolutely.

While my two mains are getting back to rested XP, I'm leveling a DK, and as usual I had to level his mining from 1. It has never been this quick to do, I swear I never even had to complete a full circle of a zone before I was done with that type of mineral.

Spawn rates for herbs/enemies is proportional to the number of people farming/killing that particular item/mob et cetera.

Eh, well, the entire system needs to be overhauled anyway. Higher spawn rates don't make gathering any less of the most mindless/tedious game system ever designed.

Farming metal in un'goro before the expansion was a delight. Wish all nodes were like that. How is it with cata?

ungoro kinda sucks now after the "change". they cut off access to most of the nodes in the hills.

The tradeskill nodes were too dense in Deepholm and Twilight Highlands for Mining and Herbalism. Several have been removed.

Mining nodes were too dense in the entrance cave to Uldaman and have been thinned out
