BOP recipe drops for a different profession |
I am just curious if I missed a post or explanation or something. I have had my hunter, who is a skinner/leatherworker, out in the first "water zone" doing quests. He is the first toon I have done much questing with, and I went there just for the heck of grabbing all the skins.
But in the course of the questing I have had two BoP jewelcrafting recipes drop. Jewelcraftng? Again ... did I miss an announcement? I have folks with most every profession, and have had my share of BoPs pop up here and there, but usually for the profession of the person I am questing with at the time. This is my only toon who is even near making a level yet in the new zones, so ... just wondering.

is your question IF there is a profession of jewelcrafting? if so, there has been for a long time..if not, then im not sure what you are asking.

I think he's asking why is he getting bind on pick up jewel crafting stuff when he does not have jewel crafting.

Probably just wondering why BOP JCing recipes are dropping, when you are not a JC. I was curious about it also, considering they've made efforts to not even allow you to see a profession recipe if you don't have the prof.
But it's free vendor money, so no complaints.

Ha ... yeah ... I actually have a max of every profession except blacksmithing, and it was just puzzling to me to see JC recipes drop for my leatherworker. I will probably see leatherworking drop for my JC toon.

Maybe if you are solo'ing and the drop comes up you'll still be able to pick it up?

lemme get this straight you carebear crowd, you want recipe drops which match your toon professions only? so what would be the next step? every item drop should match your toon?
go to blizz forums an cry for vendors which sell everything in game so you can just mindlessly grind for money and buy everything you want....

Except they're asking for exactly the opposite of what you're saying. They actually want LESS stuff to drop. It has been the case for a while that BOP recipes for professions that you don't have won't appear for you and you aren't allowed to roll on them in groups. Now suddenly that seems to be broken for some JC recipes some of which don't have any value to vendors either.
Nice job totally misreading the OP and crafting one of the most ham-handed strawman arguments I've ever seen though. I must admit the slippery slope closer was a nice touch.
