I use the Logitech G35. Recommended.

Mine is a couple of years old and Logitech has since upgraded it to a G930. Apparently the same acoustics and mic, just now done wirelessly.

Pricey, but if you play a lot, worth it.

I picked up the Creative Fatal1ty headset with built-in removable mic. They are quite comfortable, but they aren't USB, they actually have the plugs. They sound pretty darn good, but they are the padded over-the-ear style vs. just foam pads. I like them.

You need a headset that goes for at least $300 or you'll fail at WoW.

I found something else by accident.
It has become my new passion.

Sennheiser HD555 with a Zalman Mic taped to the bottom of my monitor.

Yes the HD555's are worth the money.

personally i like to use a mono usb headset mic combo, and then let the game sounds play through the regular speakers.

i change the settings so only voice comes thru the headset.

i use a plantronics supra headset with a da40 usb adapter, very light and professional quality voice fidelity.

I just picked up a Steelseries 7H USB and it works well. I can't even hear my kids in the background anymore. I hope they are doing okay...

I have a Zalman 5.1 surround headset, was great to watch bluray movies at night before I moved my office to a separate building and can tune it up full volume without any worry about family or neighbors. Those things actually work.

Yup $20 Logitech from Walmart. As long as it works I don't need anything fancy.

I have had my eye on gaming mice lately though. As a clicker, I'd really like more buttons to bind.
