Would be a good add on, sometimes I forget to keep looking up at the mimi map as I travel.

I would like to amend this thread, it should read:

Is there an addon that will stop WoW from playing itself for me?

Thanks.

If I had to guess, the reason Kewk asks this is because he has a vision problem. Might help to think before you attempt to troll someone for asking a legitimate question.

As far as the add-on, I couldn't find any mods that did this. But, there is a mod that will flash nodes on the mini-map, if I understand the mod correctly.

It's called Mappy.

Hope this helps.

The thing is I have to laugh because I knew this would be the response. Though not when I first wrote my reply. I lovea dd ons and have no problem with anyone using them. This thread however was dead, and wanting to make my own thread discussing how rediculously easy the game had become, I decided to hijack this thread instead of making a new one. I also thought my response was somewhat funny. Apparently I am alone in the belief.

That being said, as soon as I wrote the reply, it was apparent to me that it would be seen as some kind of anti-mod statement in true troll fashion. However I figured it would all work out in good fun and I was right.

Now if anyone knows of a mod that alerts you to resources near by on your mini map, please let me know as well so I can fire up my curse account and download it straight away.....

Gatherer only shows what has been there.

As far as I know, there is nothing like Sixth Sense (ah.... memories) that allows what you want. NPC_Scan actively searches using a constant /targetexact command.

Actually, NPC_Scan doesn't do targetexact at all, but uses the creature cache. How it works is pretty simple: the user must delete his creature cache file, and then the addon checks if any of the rare mobs appears in that cache, which happens when they are nearby. Note that when you spotted a rare creature but missed it, or spotted its dead body, you will have to delete your cache again for the addon to be able to detect it again next time.

As for the OP's request, it's definitely not possible. The addon UI doesn't give access to the necessary information. You still have to pay attention to your minimap.
