no difference? The combat is completely different! Travel powers level 1, that are very cool and different. I enjoyed DCUO for about a week, then it got overly repetitive. It looks nice and the combat is fast and engaging (to me at least), took a little while to get used to have very few hotkeys, as most of your combat is going to be done with combinations of mouse clicks.

It's CoH reskinned. The way the combat is done is hardly innovating or 'worth playing' a game for.

I don't recall saying "worth playing" anywhere at all in my post. Matter of fact, i state that it is overly repetitive and I got bored very quick.I was just stating that the combat *IS* different.

I didnt say you said it either did i? I marked worth playing to add emphasis to the phrase.. maybe I should have italicized it instead. I said that because of the way you wrote it, it seemed like you were saying the combat system is what made it worth playing even though it was repetitive. Maybe you were dripping sarcasm with the statement, I don't know. it is the internet after all.

I can say I don't like it all that much.

The character creation put me off right away. Not enough options for a game that should have some of the most options available in any game, ever.

I really like the gear/looks system. You can lock your outfit to what you made it as in creation process. Or you can unlock new looking item pieces by finding/equipping them. So you can wear any piece of armor/weapon and have it look like anything else you have found previously. This is something all games should do/be doing.

Find the combat somewhat boring. Feels like a button masther(friend plays on a controller and says it's much better than keyboard/mouse combo), some of the moves/styles are annoying to pull off with your mouse. I find myself clicking, a tonne. Feels like I'm playing Diablo 1 or something.

We are playing on a PvP realm. I made a Villian on my own to start, and there's a retarded amount of them. Then we made a couple Hero's to group and play together. Wow, annoying. There's villians EVERYWHERE, and most of them much higher level than any heroes. We started a couple fights with higher level players, just to be either demolished fairly easily, or have 10 more villians swoop in instantly.

Heard of some people getting ganked by some level 30 guy just flying around owning everyone(most players were like 5-15 at the most last night).

The questing system seems ok, can sometimes complete quests on the spot from your journal. My friend and I had a problem finding any quests to do right off the bat though. I chose Wonder Woman influence, as I made a female fire weilding/fist weapon player. Friend chose Superman I think, and we couldn't get the same quests lines. Was pretty disappointing.

I'm gonna play it a bit more over the weekend, but seriously, I don't find it overly enjoyable. Just doesn't have an MMO feel.

Its an action rpg with combos and hotkeyed skills vs just hotkeyed skills. How is it similar? Because you press buttons? lol.

If you can get your hands on a 10 day buddy pass, you can experience everything and cap out a char.

The game itself is very pretty to look at. The graphics are nice, it runs well and the story is good enough.

Beyond that is seems to pale when compared to COH/CO in many ways. The options for costumes and powers is a small fraction of the two older games. At first the game play feels fun and engaging. You soon realize though that you are spamming the same combos over and over and over again.

PVP is an unbalanced joke. Some of the shortest fights I can remember in MMO history.

Get a buddy pass, treat it like a single player game. Then play RIFT or if you want a superhero type game, CO goes f2p soon.
