OMG I know you JC's share my frustration right? I have 40+ and 60+ of every green gem but Zephrytes. They drop less frequently from prospecting than other gems and the quest is the most frequent  |

Hm. Not my experience. In fact I was just ranting in /trade the other day about how I have plenty of everything except Nightstone, which seems to often be the mat for the daily. I thought that was the one gem that was a fraction of the drop rate of the others. Guess it's truely random and subjective...

There was a 10 day period on my server where roughly 7 of the 10 days were nightstone dailies. It was bad.

I have 8 JC guys.
When I saw that one I just rolled my eyes and skipped that day.
As I will skip it every day that it comes up.

It is all random, quests and propsecting. It is human nature to see pattern were none exist. In the end it will all even out.
On my server most of the quests have been elemetal drop quests. Even so it hurts when you get Nibbler twice in a row. I have three Jewlers; one learning and the other two buying the gem to put on AH.
I've spent more time farming ore than doing quests. I spend 4k in gold one day when someone put ore on sale at half the normal cost. I'll be happy when I finally get everything up to where I want it. Next year sometime maybe.

Nah I've got 100+ of each uncommon stashed after some particularly unwise miners pushed the prize of obsidium ore down to foolishly low levels. I'm happy to get one of the gemcutting dailies because I can knock it over in 6 seconds flat.

Random is random... yes I got it 4 days in a row now. Notice I don't have any zephyrites in my bags. All the gems in my bags are what I farmed yesterday. I have more in the bank but no zephys. :\
