Okay...now a REAL stupid question.

To open heroics up at 85 you have to.........?

You have to have an average item level of 329 and have physically been to the dungeons (just like normal)

Thank you.

To run them successfully, you have to have an average ilvl of 340 for pugs, give or take, according to the makeup/skill/experience of the rest of your group.
Sounds like it will be a while then.

It is 30-45min in a pug already. I was afraid of heroics by reading the forums. I tried it and i complete heroics without trouble. 1-3 wipe at most if at all. All pugs.

I call BS on the 30 mins, unless the people are all raid geared, gemmed, and enchanted. Specially if you wiped even once.

Tol'Vir = 30mins with no wipes. Easiest of them all.

I guess the hardcore gamers got what they wanted (harder instances). Lets see how Blizz react when the casuals leave...

1-2 hours was the time it took most of my groups. had to repoison every single time as a rogue...which means too long for me. if i wanted to dedicate 3 hours (queue time + dungeon completion time) to one sitting of WoW i would do something that actually gives top tier rewards like raiding or arena. i left many a dungeon group part way through just because i was bored or had to leave because of time constraints. difficulty is nice and all but its too much of a time commitment right now.

They are already trying to do damage control all over the forums, especially after ghostcrawlers blog post.

I know this is completely contrary to your MO of flying solo in an MMO world, but make friends with a tank or healer. Or play one. If you aren't the guy i'm thinking of, my mistake.

The friends you make can suck worse than the tanks and healers in PUGS oftentimes, though.

Despite the flat out lies people are fabricating here, the reality for most players is that heroic dungeon PUG's, as of right now, are the equivalent of a raid as far as time is concerned. It can easily take and hour or two, and usually does.

If your experience has been otherwise, you are one of the few, or you are just full of )#($ like most of the dumbasses on VN, who get some kind of strange jolly pretending a major issue is not really an issue, when everyone knows that it is, even blizzard, who is already getting very worried.

Just sayin'

I'm a casual player.

Considering the gear requirements of dungeons/heroics, plus the time investment that seems ot be required. I can see myself running a dungeon a week. While leveling profs on the side.

Does it bother me? No. Why? Because I enjoy playing the game.

So far I've opened up Stonecore regular. I'll prob run it tomorrow night, making sure to read about the run before I go.

/shrug.
