Spirit in both cases, imo.

If ignorance were painful, half the posters here would be on morphine drips.
Everyone playing WoW knows everything about playing two classes: 1) their own and 2) Hunters

I would venture to guess from thier tooltip that expertise is pve and mastery pvp. It also would depend on the class. My friend has a druid and he says for him, mastery only helps with one or two of his heals and those require a hot. For me, a dk, it increased my oblit by approx 2k and howling by around 1k. So, unless he's reading it wrong, it would be less important for his druid but important for my dk. Expertise for me, says it only decreases enemy dodge chance. Unless I want to try and bring up both expertise and hit %, then expertise is less important since most of my pvp armor has hit % on it. Making expertise a redundant stat to mess with since my hit % is slightly higher then it needs to be.

If you're a melee DPS, then yes, you want both, until you get 8% +hit and 6.5% +expertise.

I'm not sure what the pvp hit cap is for dual-wield classes but for my 2H warrior I only need 5% hit for pvp. It jumps to 8% for pve. I think fury needs something ridiculous like 26% hit or something for pve.

5% hit cap for pvp. Check elitistjerks.com for pve hit and expertise caps. Mastery is hit or miss depending on your class, i.e. shadow priest mastery is bottom of the barrel for importance at the moment, but an assassination rogue will be stacking it once at the required hit/expertise caps. Also remember in general when talking about caps people are normally referring to raid caps. If you have no intention of raiding then you do not need to be capped to hit level 88 bosses, and should adjust accordingly.

You should go for 6% for PvP, to counter Night Elf's 1% to dodge. Not sure about Exp.
