Rare Elite Spawns in Cata |
Alright hte rare elite spawns in Cata such as Garr (recall him from MC?) and Xaronia have millions of hit points and take about 10 (can be done iwth uber 5m groups but it's tough) and drop ilvl 346 blues. Come one, these are like raid boss encounters and they're rare too boot. Why on earth don't they drop epics?

Who's everyone? I've yet ot hear about anyone complaining over a rare spawn spawning too often.

wow what a co-incidence, me and my guild just killed a the rare spawn in Uldum, Amk'het or something and we all felt ripped off a i346 item dropped.

We killed some rare mob in hyjal a few weeks back, some earth elemental looking guy. It was a random thing, a guildie told me about it then they must've spammed general chat because people kept showing up individually, or in groups of 2-3.
After about 10 minutes of fighting/dying, we killed it and he dropped some blue item. Was a pretty crappy one too if I recall, definitely not worth the amount of time/effort it took to kill it. I miss the old days where a rare mob was more or less a regular mob that could be killed solo or maybe with 2-3 people. Made killing mobs in random areas more fun.

There are still other rare mobs that can be killed solo and drop a lesser ilvl blue.

I just had flash backs to people grouping up to kill Crystal Lords in Asheron's Call. Damn, that was fun.
