"The community of this game is often two-faced ,and many times that ugly side which can leave quite the lasting impression will show itself more. Today, or maybe even every day if you feel so inclined help someone out when you usually wouldn't. Do Crucible of Carnage even though you finished the quest ,or help someone out in trade when usually you would ignore them. Even if only a few people go out of their way to perform one act of kindness it will improve the community to that degree if only for a moment."

This sentiment is definitely lost on this board.

If you think my opinion is idiotic, re-read yours.
Dont worry I will give my opinion anyways.
The PvP MMO is NOT a "niche" market, Mythic is just a "niche" company.

Slim pickens for tips today, apparently.

Here's a real tip - roll a warrior or level/gear up your existing warrior. They were boosted extremely in the last patch such that even a complete idiot can do godly dps with one, and they're getting boosted even more in 4.1 (such that even if you're too stupid to use your skills you'll do 40% more white dmg) - because even rolling one's face is too much, now you can just use your keyboard as a pillow and do nice dps.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that

I do this almost every time I'm logged in. If my guild isn't on a dungeon run, I'll tank Crucible for people who ask in trade, I make crafting items for people at no charge, I fix up noobies with free bags and a little start up gold on my tailor...

Maybe its just my server, but there are lots of friendly people to be found.

It would have helped if WoW didn't go out of its way to make helping others either inconvenient or needless.

A great tip, and something the wow community is sorely lacking.

It is the never ending competition with your fellow players for gear that causes this mentality..

Open loot tables = great community.

4 plate wearers rolling need for one item = 3 pissed off plate wearers.

WOW will never have a community that is positive in nature.

I would even go so far as to say no mmo after it will have a community that is positive in nature, now that wow has... set the bar, so to speak.

I will never understand the design mentality behind a system that discourages grouping while leveling and then requires it at end-game. Incentives obviously work (badges) so why not put in an XP bonus for group questing/leveling? Seems such a simple idea. Though considering how fast you blow through lower level content now as a soloer, that would just increase the content obsolescence rate.

Something about painting yourself into a corner?
