There have been so many whining/crying/complaining threads about how Cata has ruined WoW, that I wasn't sure which one to post this thought on.

I for one am still enjoying WoW, as much or more than I did when it first released (and I have been playing since day 1 Vanilla with nothing more than a week or two off at a time).

I PvP only on occasion (arenas or BGs).

I raid 1 or 2 times per week for maybe 3 hours at a time (guild has killed Magmaw, Omnitron Defense, Maloriak and Chimareon in BWD and Halfus in BoT).

I have 1 85, 3 80's and am currently levelling a Shaman (never played on before) who is 66.

Maybe I don't play as many hours per week that I did initially, and maybe my expectations have changed with my decreases play time, but I still find the game enjoyable.

Sure there have been things done by Blizzard that I haven't liked (my 85 is a Disc/Shadow priest and I wasn't fond of the changes to Disc), but I have learned to adapt to the changes.

Count me in (of course ).

The forum is slightly better lately though (we can thank Rift for that I think), there are actually people asking advice about the game for a change and way less posting how much it sucks they can't faceroll <insert dungeon name> anymore like they were doing in WotLK, or offensive one liners in each thread to get attention.

One thing is sure... without my guild and notably my real life friends playing, WoW would be way less fun. But sitting down with other like minded people and trying to beat new challenges has still not gotten old, even though I'd prefer that Blizzard releases dungeon and raid content more often instead of using heroics.

I'm one of Wow's biggest fans.

Cata is wrath 2.0 with extra ez.

Except the raids, which mutilated casual raiding, but I'm capable and enjoying them.

The pacing and repetitiveness of cata vs wrath just sucks...and cata is less interesting and even more ridiculously easy.

The official boards are usually full of people complaining - people who enjoy the game don't even go there. So I don't put much stock in anything written there.

But I can tell you based on my guild, and people logging in less, and that even the dumbest people in my guild flew thru all content except raids, that cata was poorly implimented. You can't just hand all players everything then have raids for only a microfraction of players or everyone will be bored in a few months...which is what's happening.

Yes, I am a frequent poster on another board online - just found this one it looks great!

Although have to agree with the OP - I prefer WOW now since the Cata update but when people point out the faults of the game and quite rightly so it can put you off a bit.

So this thread is pointing out the redundancy and ultimate futility of...this thread?

I, on the other hand, prefer a command-line system 'cause i'm so hardcore
/north /north *You encounter an [Avatar of the god Set]!*
/cast sheild *sheild spell unavailable*
/csat shield *csat: unknown command*

Well I don't recommend burying your head in the sand but I agree with this for the most part.

The trick is to learn to accept the things you cannot change, change the things you can, and have the wisdom to know the difference.

I'm sure some of you may have heard a variant of that idea before.
