Don't bother too much about expertise on a warrior. Give it a try first. If you are really desperate about threat, then consider it, but specially when you just started and don't have godlike health, my opinion is that you should focus on survivability.

I'd also like to point out that you should NOT be afraid to use your cooldowns on trash if you are getting smashed. Your healer will thank you!

That. /chuckles
Took me forever to start using CD's on trash. I always saved them becaue well..they're cooldowns!! OMG! It didn't hurt my rotation, most are only a few minutes allowing me to use them fairly regularly and if it saves my healer aggravation, all the better. I don't HAVE to use them but it doesn't hurt either.
If I have to use them on trash over and over...then it can be a problem once you get to a boss.

Despite my limited experience in normal instances, the trash seems to be harder than the boss most of the tims and I generally as I rarely need CD's for boss I do pop them if I think the healers in trouble. I think Heroic may be different as the bosses spank harder, but usually the healer is ready for boss spanking at least
