I have never understood the people that do not loot EVERYTHING. I make 20-30g every run that I do. I know it takes up bag space but then I have an addon that sells all gray items. It is called SellJunk how unique. 1 button sells it all and tells me how much I made off the Ruined Silk Cloth and Hoary Crystals that have filled my bags.

No need to comment on the bot text, it's been beaten to death already.
As to why not loot everything, when leveling/soloing sure, when grouped, I rarely bother unless we have stalled for drinking/rezzing/afk etc. The reason is 95% of the time I am tanking and therefor setting the pace, a ranged or healer in the back has all the time in the world to right click the sparklies in piles around them, I am already pulling the next group to keep this 10m or instance moving. Money has not been something that was a factor for me in WoW for a very long time, so I guess thats a big part of it. I don't mean that I have a billion gold across a full server load of characters, I just mean there is hardly anything other then consumables (almost all of which I can make myself) for raids that would be worth buying at this point.
It is hilarious however when some random hunter has a tantrum cause I haven't looted things he wants to skin and won't run back 2 hallways to make them happy. It hasn't been much of an issue in Cata, but with the ridiculous ease of instances in Wrath I just challenged myself by always pushing to go as fast as possible without endangering people (too much) as otherwise I would have rather been doing almost anything else.

So now we are giving a tip to basically loot stuff?
/facepalm
Next we need to have a tip that tells melee to equip a weapon and then the tip that tells casters to use spells and not melee.
Oh and killing things will get you xp so you can level up!
