My sister asked me to dig through my very very old screenshots and see if I could find the one I had captioned for her a while back so she could use it for her blog post today. When I finally found it it made me nostalgic and I had to laugh and think about how far WoW has developed.



Remember that to get the level 60 mage water you had to do the level 60 mage quest in Dire Maul? And there were no mage tables until ZA in Patch 2.3!

An epic mount was epic! Those things cost some serious money back in the day when money was harder to make. Speaking of mounts, remember when training was cheap and it was the mount itself that was the majority of the cost?

Remember when flight paths didn't connect automatically? You had to fly from Darnassus to Auberdine and stop. Then fly from Auberdine to Astraanar and stop. Then fly from Astraanar to Stone Talon Peak and stop. And when you got to point you could only fly to certain points from there. So if you accidently flew to the wrong place which didn't connect to where you wanted to go....you had to fly back and try a different route.

There was a time when there were no Soul Shard slots...or bags...

Wow.. I came in at WOTLK .. Guess I am a little spoiled compared to back in the days when you all played BC.. Crazy.. I love my mage btw.. Both of them. Crazy but thank you for sharing the memories about what it used to be like

I did it twice! Once on alliance and once on horde side. Once we downed the boss we would hold the dungeon and run back to town asking if any warlocks needed it since you didn't actually have to be there for the kill. We made some good friends that way

i remember asking for buffs in qalabar so i could level at the citadel. when buffs lasted 15min, and it was about a 5min run to the portal from town

I had an og mage I parked in the citadel. I'd sit at the start constantly buffing because of the low timers. People would fellow with me just for buffs then they'd do all the killing. ^_^

Oh dear me, I miss my og and MT. But I will never miss those OP ash grommies with their sticky targeting.
