Its a timesink for sure. If you want a little bit of extra lore, some mounts, and some purple BOAs then do it. If you don't collect mounts, don't level alts, and don't care about the lore then there isn't much there for you. You can sell some items but really there are better ways to make money with your time.

Thanks for the reminder. But then, does this infringe on my dwarf's ale-drinking time? I am thinking it is not a good idea to be drinking and flying a mount about looking for tiny shovel icons on a map. I might try to fly to Stranglethorn and end up in Arathi Highlands!

One thing I have learned thus far, dwarf druid would be the best race/class if there were such a thing. The shaman ghost wolf is handy for getting from red light to blinky green light, but I don't want to count the number of times I have run up against a wall and thought how nice it would be to have druid flight form.
