Well many players have now reached the 100 Mount Achievement. There is no follow up Achievement as of yet. Cataclysm has come out with numerous new mounts. So when?s the next achievement? Should there be one? What sort of reward should it provide?

I want a pink dragon damn it! With sparkles.


And while I'm at it, a vanilla palamino without the armor. And frankly since there's no reason to have the level of the mount seperated by looks since riding mastery in the game, let me customize my mount by changing it's armor. Now for that kind of reward, I'd grind just about any sort of achievement.

Well no. The problem is my daughter wants to see the pink dragon and I don't have one to show her. Green, red, black, blue, white, purple, orange. And there's a serious problem if she's on those sorts of drugs!! Her current favorite is the green proto drake.

There should be an achievement for getting the phrase "B Team" slipped into at least 100 of your posts on the official forums (before blizzard finds you "tiresome" and bans you)

They put Menagerie in for 125 pets. I would think that a new one for number of mounts would eventually be added in.

On my main toon I collect both. It's something to do with gold.

The truth is I only use a few of the mounts. Ground mount isn't used that often which is a shame but my favorite is the zulian tiger.

Air mounts- most of the time i use the headless horseman mount. I think the green proto drake or the rusted proto is cooler looking but For the most part i prefer the smaller fingerprint of the HH mount. Can see more things on ground or around me if i'm on the HH mount.

I only use my HH mount. The wing flapping of flying mounts gets on my nerves really bad for some reason.

I have a bunch of rare mounts just sitting in the tab that will never get used

The only way I can say this is no, we do not need another X mounts achievement. While it is fun to collect them, and I do love to collect mounts, I think the collection and showing off of the mount is reward enough. Besides the achievement is going to dramatically skewed with the new rewards for Tanks/Healers (sorry I know it is for the lowest represented group but we know that is going to always be tanks and healers) that do heroics. Besides, some of us, or maybe it is just me, are getting tired of collecting a mount by hook or by crook only to find that they up the drop rate and then everyone has it. For example the Green Proto-Drake, I did the quest every week with the Oracles, it took 7 days for the egg to hatch and then only had a .1% chance to drop. The day it dropped I flew around everywhere because it took me 8 months to get it, and I was SO proud of it. Then here comes Cataclysm. Instead of leaving it as a rare hard to find drop. The up the percentage rate from .1% to 5%, that is ~200% greater chance. Then they reduced it to a 3-day cool down. I have seen so many green proto-drakes at this point that I removed him from my cast bar. Now with cata out so many people have the Undead Drake that it is worthless as well. The only thing that is worth getting now is Vial of the Sands, thankfully I am an Alchemist. That is until there are so many in the AH that they drop to 5000g and everyone and they remove the "REQUIRES ALCHEMY" requirement, and I am sure they will.


So long story. . . but no we don't need the achievement because it has no merit.

Oh brother, you are one of those sad and pathetic people always whining and crying when something becomes easier to attain when it was ridiculously retarded to get in the first place. Oh noes, instead of 0.1% drop rate its 1% drop rate! Your world is crumbling!
