Enough with Resilience already |
Reforging was one of the big disappointments for me. I still don't understand why we were so limited in what stats could be adjusted. It seems to me that Blizzard could virtually eliminate gear grinds for both PvE and PvP by simply allowing players to reforge resilience.
Then again, maybe that's the point.

as a hardcore pvper i agree...even for pvp i wish i could reforge the resilience into something more offensive. pretty stupid that i have to pve to get the pvp armor that i want to use. its annoying that WoW keeps telling me i need to gear defensively even as a rogue.

It never ceases to amaze me how people flock to an inferior WoW-clone with even worse balance issues coming to the fore and they want to imply that they are returning here to tap-dance on us poor WoW sucker's grave. SHENANIGANS I say!

Why couldn't they have just made a resilience buff that everyone gets while you are in an arena or battleground and then just made the raid gear or pvp gear have the same stats but with different armor models.

They dont do this becuse they dont want the best pve gear to dominate pvp like it did way back (and in many games) thus forcing hardcore pvp people to do hardcore pve for the top gear.
As much as I hate beatin on someone for 20 min so far resil is the best way to make pvp and pve gear different enough.

Blizzard does not want you crafting a set of PVE gear at 85, they want you hideously grinding dungeons for it.
The crafted sets are intended strictly to get people PVP'ing as soon as they hit 85, so they can start THAT hideous gear grind without getting roflstomped by hardcores who already have full pvp gear from using Tol Barad exploits to get fully outfitted in a single day 
Yup. I wasnt able to benefit from this exploit sadly.

You know as well ad I, that is the point. What else are you going to do in an MMO other then grind for gear?

In Ultima Online there was no gear grind at all, zero. And we had the best community of any MMO I've ever played.
I really wish they would upgrade the graphics for that game.

What I was getting at was that you could do either grind you wanted and be competitive in pvp or pve and not have to go through 2 different gear grinds.
