Merge all achievements across the account. I'd love to see my achievements earned instead of some here, some there, etc.

Agreed. The system should track the achievements of the player (and be noted account wide) rather than individual toons. The current system penalizes people for switching mains.

Basically after he is finally fired..err excuse me, after he moves on, if you are still playing, you get this achievement."

I'd go with this...

...even though I think achievements in WoW, and in gaming in general, are one of the lamest and dumbest things ever added - from a player's point of view.

As a coder and student of the MMORPG genre, I think achivements are beautiful. Getting paying players to waste enormous amounts of time doing activities that yield no tangible reward has to be one of the all time great feats of timesink. Somewhere the bliz dev who thought this up is still laughing.

This wasn't a Blizz idea. IIRC, the whole achievement system came from a console system, I don't remember which one.

Love it!

If your character was created within the first 90 days of release .. you should not only get the achievement "Old Timer" but the title as well.

the main reason i don't care about achievements is that its pointless if you play more than 1 character. account wide achievements would make sense...but i guess they want you to spend time doing the same stuff on multiple characters afterall
