In order to best accommodate players under the unique play style of Rated Battlegrounds, we?ll be offering all-new PvP ground mounts -- the Vicious War Wolf (Horde) or Vicious War Steed (Alliance) -- in a unique way. If you want to sit your knickers on these sweet new rides come patch 4.2, Rage of the Firelands, you must earn achievements for winning either 75, 150, or 300 Rated Battlegrounds. One account-bound mount will be awarded for each of these achievements earned, so if you win 300 Rated Battlegrounds with a character, you?ll be afforded the opportunity to give that character and two of your alts each a wolf or steed. Since these mounts are tied to each achievement and not to your placement on the competitive ladder, they will be awarded instantly rather than at the end of each season as with Arena mounts. Your Rated Battleground wins tracked for these achievements are cumulative and are not reset with each season, so you can work toward the reward at your own pace.

The mounts look awesome, and it's nice to see some new PvP fluff content, but I'm gonna have to wait until they scrap the ridiculous rated battlegrounds system as it's implemented now before I get one.
Well, and then there's still the matter of being unsubscribed because Cataclysm isn't that fun, I guess.

Imagine the intensity of Arenas now in what used to be a relaxed BG. Did a few, hated them, will never do them again.

I will never spend one second "organizing" a group just to run a BG.

When I played them it was with some of the top arena players on our server. It was awful. Everyone was on vent as 'our leader' ordered people to 'mid'. The BG was Twin Peaks. (WSG like)
So the enemy has our flag and 'our leader' still insists everyone should stay mid. My friend and I were like, "Uhh we need to get the flag or they will cap if they get by mid"
So we run up and grab the flag and get it successfully back to our base. (I am heals) Our leader then says, "We need more heals mid!"
I'm like, "I think we need more heals on our FC"
They then start mocking my friend for getting the flag because he is a warlock. And he is like, "If you don't want me to hold it... come get it then."
The whole thing was just terrible. My friend and I have done hundreds of thousands BG's across our Wow career... and to then have to play with arena players who don't BG much was frustrating. I am an arena player... but I also BG A LOT.

*Pet Peeve Alert*
Did they seriously armor the legs? I'm sorry but these guys obviously have NOT studied how animals move. There is no way a horse is going to around with plate on thier legs from chest to fetlock. Not gonna happen. It's not possible. You can't put something rigid over a joint and still expect it to move. That makes these things ugly imo. The lack of believability. I love the psikes and colors and neck plates but come on....do your research!! Don't jsut add stuff to "make it look cool". they can't even get teh angle of a tail correct, the hooves on the sparkle pony right, the dwarf paladin charger mount had cloven hoof prints for years for pete's sake, the ghost wolf form looks like it has hip dysplasia.
Watch some animal videos. See how they run. Assess and compare your graphics. Your armor concepts suck.
