Cataclysm killed it for me. |
Yup I called it quits 3 weeks after release of Cataclysm.
They ruined the classes, degraded the detail of gear & weapons.
The Dungeons got crazy as well as the requirements for them.
Unless you're a Healer or Tank the wait for dungeons is an hour or more.
Even the wait on the Battlegrounds is over 30min.
I now return to the most fun filled game I've ever played. No waiting. Plenty of action.
Dark Age of Camelot
No other game will give you;
3 realms (3 different sides)
14 crafting professions (7 being sub-class)
18 different races (excluding the minotaur)
44 different classes (excluding the mauler)
Able to template your character to fit your needs.
True battlegrounds (not WoW & WaR Instances)
True endgame RvR with frontiers. (not WaR Tiers)

Congrats on quitting WoW. You should check out RIFT before you go jumping back into DAoC, a nice change of pace and new scenery.

Yanno, my son and I went back to DAoC a couple of years ago, just to see what they'd done to it.
Logged on, spent less than 2 hours there, logged off and didn't look back again.
Too bad it wasn't a weekly subscription. We overpaid. By a lot. <cough>

DAoC truly was the best MMO experience i have had so far, just like WoW is for alot of other people. I thought about goin back to it one final time aswell... but i just made myself realize its what? 10 yrs old now and completely dated. When stuff gets old it just gets blah!
just save all your 8man vids and wait for something new!! and not rift.. its terble!
