For years, I have had altaholism, the care and feeding of many alts is srs bzness. I have finally decided to just play one toon and just do everything on him.

For those of you afflicted with Altaholism, I implore you to try this. Take your favorite and just start doing all the stuff you never took the time to do because you had dailies to run on your alts, you had to get your VP on your alts.

Even thought I thoroughly despise the Devs and what they have done to this game, I am actually enjoying it atm because I chose my hunter and am doing all the achievements I can on him.

Try it, see if it can do the same for you. No more warrior, no more pally, no more druid for me. Hunter, and hunter only. The rest are my professions bitches.

I only have one toon I play all the time. Every alt I've tried to level has fizzled out.

I've deleted more max lvl characters than I care to count....some just to use their name on a diff class.

I dare say I am the ultimate altoholic...

I've had toons in full badge gear (never cared for max level raiding) and been a few short hops away from some of the crazier rep achievements and such. I was enjoying trying some of the off-spec options until 4.0 homogenized my alts into uselessness. Thanks, Blizztards!

Altaholism....

....gets donkey punched by the firelands dailies thing...I'm hearing it's 30 days just to hit friendly and the guide here has a crazy list of stuff to do. I can't remotely fathom doing it all for 10 of my 85's.

This is bliz lame way of admitting they suck at releasing new content in a timely manner and inflicting a ridiculous time sink on people.

Because...doing rep grinds...is...fun...yeah. Doing it in WOTLK was fun, doing the exact same BS in cata if FUN. It's right up there with grinding heroics then having emblems redone/reset and looking at grinding them AGAIN. Oh my, this is beyond fun.

I don't delete my max level toons but I do have 10 85's, one of every class. At the end of WOTLK they were all 80 and geared enough to raid ICC25 (or beyond for some), and all of them are geared enough for the 3 original cata raids, with a few being firelands-ready.

I can't express just how sick I am of heroics, rep grinds, therazane, etc. They really need to come up with some new twists for their next expansion instead of bumping the rep grind/emblem grind stuff...again.

I almost got to this point with my paladin in WOTLK. I was having a blast doing everything I could on him. I was just a few lucky rolls in ICC25 from having BIS gear. Then 4.0 made him unfun to play for me.

I was not far behind with my shaman. They my 2 main characters. They covered Tanking, Healing, Melee DPS and Range DPS for me. I could do anything my guild needed with those 2.

The reason I am an Altaholic is because I get sick of playing the same style of play from a single class, or I group with people and think that reminds me of how much fun that other class is.

tldr; ADD + Grass is greener = playing alts
