I think it is more the people that you knew during your time with whatever game, more than the game itself, that makes it memorable.

I have good memories of the first year of WoW, TBC and WotLK. My experience with WoW peaked in WotLK around the time the Dungeon Finder went in. It was fun getting quick groups and doing all that stuff. I enjoyed the pre-LK raid 5 man dungeons. Most of my pugs with the DF were decent, there were only a few bad experiences.
After that it went downhill for me, especially with Cataclysm.

My favorite memories involve exploring the game when it was just out in retail, seeing it all for the first time.

If ignorance were painful, half the posters here would be on morphine drips.
Everyone playing WoW knows everything about playing two classes: 1) their own and 2) Hunters

Aye I'm with you on this, there's nothing like entering a totally new game knowing nothing and having a whole world to discover. And back then, there was a lot of exploration in WoW, before the quest assistants, GPS addons, etc...

If you think my opinion is idiotic, re-read yours.
Dont worry I will give my opinion anyways.
The PvP MMO is NOT a "niche" market, Mythic is just a "niche" company.

hmm, which part of the 10 million world wide players makes this a "dieing" game? Or do you mean dead to you? Not that you would ever try to push your personal views and pass them off as the right way? No way, not here on the VN.
Maybe the fact there were 14mil before Cata
This logic still makes me laugh. You do know Cataclysm was JUST released in China this month, right?
So, now that blizzard just released their new LOSS numbers, are you going to continue to post here so we can make fun of you?
We need some excitement bro.

Downing a giant level 50 something undead elite mob with my level 16 Elemental Archer just by kiting with frozen arrow.
Oh wait, that was a different dying (dead) game by the name of Horizons.
Good times all the same.
