It only takes 4 signatures to make a guild now. Make your own for all your solo characters and stop the random invites

This doesn't work, both the guild charter holder and the player signing have to be logged in at the same time, so unless you have 4 different account (expensive) then you have to get 4 OTHER people to sign. You can then as the GM kick them from your guild after you have given then rights to invite your ALTs and put your alts in the guild. It can be a bit tricky. The better way is to find someone selling a guild and usually for 1000g you can get one already made, and you are right this does work, long live The Mule Lords

finding people to sign isn't that bad...but its a bit of a pain if you don't like asking random people for stuff. i did it and have my own guild just because i wanted to make a tabard design for myself...but inviting alts to the guild is a pain since someone else needs to invite them...or maybe with this new guild system you can send invites while offline? i have to check

anyways i wish there was an option in the menu to automatically decline all group invites. on my server it has become standard for enemy faction players to log on and spam messages and invites to people who kill them in pvp. i got an addon to block the messages and used to have one to block the invites, but the invite addon does not work anymore so i am forced to individually ignore every person who starts spamming me. quite tedious

LOTRO has /anonymous. DaOC has it too.
I've wondered for years why a game like WoW, which basically regrouped all the good points of past MMOs, didn't have such a feature.

Yeah, some days I want to log in and not be seen by anyone, just do my stuff for a few hours without external interference. Just like I enjoy sitting by my swimming pool in "real life" doing nothing but enjoying the nature and the wind in the trees.

Goes against everything social networking stands for.

Finding 4 people to sign your guild charter takes all of under a minute, simply by asking in your capital city.

If you want to play a game solo and don't want to be bothered with other people, then MMOs are not for you. Perhaps single player RPGs are more to your liking.

are you kidding? WoW is all about the solo. pve obviously has a huge solo game with quests/rep and solo pvp on my rogue in WoW is the best mmo pvp i ever had.
