Im loving both in PvP around 82ish. Does anyone have experience with both (geared) at end game?

Edit:

Im running shadow and disc specs on the priest (both are fun in PvP) and frost on the mage.

If you want a challenge, priest. If you want to faceroll, mage.

Don't let anybody tell you different either, it is literally that black and white.

Yeah. Ive been detroyed by so many frost mages, I decided to level mine and see what its all about. The damage output is pretty insane at 82 (Im sure it will change leveling to 85 for PvP like it does for PvE) but still, the frost mage consistently does 3x damage the SPriest does.

Im not sure if I want to just do DPS at 85 or be more viable with a dual spec (which is why I would continue on with the Priest). Frost mage seems to survive much better than the SPriest, no where near the Disc Priest though.

Not sure what to do.

Mage if you want faceroll easy (which a lot of people do find fun).

Priests get verrrrry frustrating to play, often.

For PvP frost is faceroll and arcane is a challenge.

Arcane, when very well played, can rip through people one after the other.

For PVP I would say either, mages like everyone said can faceroll however can be beat one on one where a priest can't do the blanket damage of a mage it but usually takes two or more players to bring one down.

The icing on the cake is it looks like GC has no intention of doing much in the way nerfing them, instead appears to be focused on nerfing those that can do them the most harm.

I've never been tops as a PvP'er but usually pretty good since I am good at working the mechanics of my classes.

I don't see where mages faceroll in pvp. I have been getting my ass handed to me by just about any melee class on my mage (arcane and even tried out frost for a bit.) When every melee has a way to "stick" to you it's damn near impossible if they get in range. And with warriors, they have charge, hamstring, intercept.... and then if you do try to save yourself and iceblock to wait for some help, they have some sort of (honestly don't know the name of the move) shattering blow that dispells your iceblock.

Dk's just grab you and pull you to them, then put up their anti-magic shell.

Rogues stunlock and vanish (hell, if only mage invis worked as well as that).

Granted, as long as they other players are focusing on someone else, we can rape em down. But if I get a melee on my, I am generally effed unless I get some help specially due to health pools and resilience. Normally a 4 stack arcane blast will crit in the 40k region. I was going against a warrior the other day that had enough resilience to make that same 4 stack AB only crit for 22k. Now with a health pool of 145k to my 123k, I just couldn't take him down. Not to mention the melee swings hurt badly.

Shadow priests are awesome when played correctly. Make sure you do your research.

Any links Dums?

Im really liking the SPriest and being able to switch to Disc for fun as Hell BG healing. The mage has some wicked looking level 80 pvp gear that I want to transmorg to my other gear once 4.3 hits though. If only the priest had something as cool as the mage pvp helm, I wouldnt think twice about the decision.
