So are you an average gamer who just plays the game? Or are you a fanboi who's like totally into WoW and you plaster your bedroom with Night Elf posters, make woW machinimas and tell WoW jokes in real life? Seriously, is your desktop from WoW? Do you actively check the Fan Art Section for new goodies? Perhaps you're getting your own ready to submit. Do you tell your friends about the latest comic? Are you going to enter the Pumpkin Carving Contest? Or do you just log in and call it good?

The Topic of the Week is a contest run by WoW Vault! The best reply will receive VIP Insider for 2 weeks! Potential winning posts are judged according to length, interpretation of the subject and writing style.Disclaimer: Winners with too many ToS violations on their account may not be eligible to receive the reward.

Fanboi? And admit it here? And get mocked by the tried-and-true crowd that hangs out here?

Are you kidding me?

To answer the main question: I'm a casual gamer who fills in some of his free time with WoW. I never play during work days because it's 12-hour shifts and I don't have the time. I'm 46 and don't need the drama of trying to compete with little boys or sick boys that like to pretend they are females ingame.

Do I win now?

I guess I am a casual fan who doesn't have to hate Blizzard because its the new "in" thing to do. I play a fraction of the amount I used to..but I will be ready to level a few more guys through any expansion they have planned. Its still fun to me. :-)

Maybe.

I was looking over hte community page and I thought "How many people get into this stuff?" Now I have to admit, if I knew that stuff was out there when I was playing DAoC, I'd have been all over it. It was my first MMO and talk about addiction... I put the map from the game box up in my room.

Moving onto WoW, I now know this sutff is out there and I've been involed in putting some of it together. My dirty little secret is not pumpkin carving but it's the wow music vid's. I absolutely loved Blind and then I found a few actual WoW based things like Darrowshire (makes me cry every time, can't watch it much) and I Won't Miss You. I now have a full WoW playlist that I would rather listen to than the radio.

Those are all You Tube links btw. My desktop is Asuka and I haven't tried any of the Blizzard Contests, although I'm considering the core puppy one. I do wear my WoW Vault t-shirt in public and enjoy the comments I get from...ahem...all sorts of people.

Oh yes, WoW TCG. I have lots and lots and lots of cards. I love the cards, I love the art. I'm planning on getting my favorites framed. I just need three more that I really like to fill it out. If I had time to go out and compete I would be playing this game a lot.

I guess I can grudgingly admit that I've had several WoW pics on my PC desktops as wallpapers. I've actively searched Google images to find the one(s) that fit me best.

People who create their own costumes for Blizzcon win the prize imo.

I, on the other hand, prefer a command-line system 'cause i'm so hardcore
/north /north *You encounter an [Avatar of the god Set]!*
/cast sheild *sheild spell unavailable*
/csat shield *csat: unknown command*
*[Avatar of Set] beheads [Peasant]*
