I am pretty excited about this expansion. I love the Pandaren race, and a Monk class is exactly what I have been waiting for!

For the Panda haters, here is something for you to think about...

Ya know, when you focus on the one thing people pick on because it happens to be an easy target, you really expose the lack of depth of your thought processes. We've had a bunch of threads discussing the things we like and dislike about MoP. Crawl back under your rock if you can't manage to rub two brain cells together and come up with something interesting to say.

So...

Anyone for popcorn?

Im sure Warcarft 3/TFT had over 5 Million players and your telling me Everquest 2 had a chance? TFT and Starcraft were played all around the world.

As soon as the started advertising on these games they were guaranteed 2 million subs off the bat.

Open beta was very well done, and the game was smooth with a great UI.

I bet their competition are the ones most excited about this expansion, the ArenaNet developers must be grinning from ear to ear.

Basically....meh. I have very little faith in the current developers. I am expecting a mockery of what was once an awesome game.

I am pretty sure with it being void of innovation, laden with ripped off, rehashed ideas, and dumbed down to the point first graders will find in intellectually insulting, it will not only be a mockery of what was once the greatest MMO ever created it is going to be the laughing stock of the entire gaming industry.

Well that is the thing with competition or in some cases the lack of it. WoW had a good 5 or so years "being the greatest". Yet due to a lack of competition and time at being at the top, it didn't force Blizz to innovate as much as it should have or to maintain the quality. It is because of these factors that you see a decline in WoW and of its players.

The biggest of these I think is the lack of understanding where the game needed to innovate and change. Blizzard thought that it needed to change it s questing model, or it talent tree model, or even original content of the game. Yet, none of these were absolutely in dire need of change. The change and innovation needed was in adding more options for players to spend their time in game, in particular at end game.

All of sudden now with MoP we are seeing Blizz finally getting this as they are trying to implement these changes. Yet at the same time they are still trying to fix things that before weren't broken or in need of change in the first place, talent system being the prime one.

As far what I think of MoP personally, I will get it most likely at some point in time, but Cata was the last expansion I buy at release.

Many of the changes in Cata looked like results of focus groups. Many of the proposed changes with MoP look like results of focus groups. Focus groups can backfire if the groups are not balanced enough biasing the results, quite often with terrible results, look up New Coke.

Nope. They are becuz the Dev team thinks they know what the players want, and they are completely clueless, they have proven it.

Imagine if they went for the Goblin Tinker, that would of been so funny.

Robo goblin as the top tier spell.
Pocket Factory would work like the dks summon minnion spell.

ha ha ha

I always thought the Dark Ranger was most popular, the sea witch had a big fan base too.The Pandaran Brewmaster was a bit crap.BeastMaster was great but I think that ties in with hunter spec.
