Both my current accounts were initially someone else's... 1st was my brothers original account (so same surname), 2nd was a friend of mine's who declared he would NEVER play again (and is now my main account). I also changed the payment details on my brothers account to pay for him (and log into it occasionally from a different address).
I travel regularly (in the 18 months i've logged in from Brazil, Caribbean and Australia as well as 3/4 countries in Europe)...
I have also had large amounts of Gold exchanged with me... I've given gold away and had friends give me gold when they stopped playing (20k+).
All this and I have NEVER... EVER... WHATSOEVER... had an email, call or account suspension from Blizzard.
Personally, I put it primarily down apathy! But, I don't doubt that it is easier to deal with the hundreds/thousands of account retrieval requests then the potentially hundred's of thousands of 'unusual' activity blips that they would have on a regular basis.
Change the details as you mention and i would bet you won't hear anything on it again.

If I logged in a foreign country, I would probably have to show up at Blizzard in person to get my account unlocked lol.
