I would move away from priority system combat.
I hate that in order to be competitive, you have to be fishing for procs and not just one or 2 but really paying attention to your hot bars. It is always posited that staying out of fire is a good thing, but having to pay attention to the floor and your buttons fishing for procs is counter intuitive. Not to mention if I am looking at the floor or my hot bars I don't get the full majesty of an epic encounter because I cannot look away to enjoy the scenery.
Never been a fan of heavy priority systems. Say what you will about the rotations of the past, they allowed players to have more situational awareness and enjoy the scenery more.

Revert paladins back to WotLK or BC or vanilla even! Holy Power is not fun.

I'm gonna go with pink-slipping GC, too.
Though, to be closer to the spirit of the question, I'd do a two-fold change: 1) completely divorce PVE/PVP mechanics and then stop trying to balance classes around the whiner-of-the-month, and 2) roll back skills/talents to where they were in WotLK while keeping (1) in mind and start from there with the addition of the extra 5 levels of talent points.

Put in an alternate leveling system at level caps.
Oh yeah, and get rid of GC.
