Wow, it was so great reading through this thread, I saw a few familiar names
I used to play as Zeddmon, a lvl 156 mage here on WE (and 104 archer on DT)... I played from about 2001 until 2005, then switched to WoW for a few years and I am thinking about resubbing for a bit to AC, to see how the game is these days...
I don't think anybody here still remembers me, but in this thread a few names ringed me a bell:
Logan Silvermoon - didn't know you personally, only from the forum, if I recall correctly, you were quite active!
Azzkickr - name sounds familiar
Dire the Wise - though he did not show up in the thread (only his name), I remember him well, even PK'd against him...
Nzom - didn't know you personally either but I remember you being active on forum
Seeker of Kiwi - I remember you the most from the people in this thread, we used to hunt together a few times, fun old times!
overslept - also from the forum, as your post count shows still quite active!
Shortys-Og - also used to play with you, if I remember correctly!
I was really surprised to see familiar names, I thought after so many years I would forget most and certainly not find them here on the forum, hehe!
One funny thing that just popped into my mind... there was a thread about Exempt (I think that was the guild's name at the time) and it was about creating a motto for the guild... my favorite one was "We break the rules so you don't have to!"
After leaving AC I admitted that I was playing waaaay too much, and it was better for my life that I left, but I just realized that despite all that I still have so many nice memories!
Anyway, I am thinking about coming back a bit to see how the game is... could anyone fill me in a bit? Not on technical aspects of the game (nor the changes), but things like how many people keep playing on WE/DT, are there still active guilds, is it worth coming back? Also, I live in Europe, so my time zones are quite different than the US players' - does this mean I would find even a lot fewer players? My mage here was lvl 156 and my archer on DT was 104 - though out of stupidity I lost most of my stuff (account expired, most things left in house/villa). Is it hard to get back on my feet these days? Would not have that much time to play (back in the day I played a lot - but the game was also the type where you can't log in for 30 minutes - 1 hour because it was not enough for many things like hunting or questing).
The problem with missing out so many years is that for example here on VNboards everything I had is lost... my signature for one, my watched user list, my posts, etc. - anyone knows why they were ALL deleted? I am using the same account I used 10 years ago although have not logged in for a few years and it asked me to change my profile name... Also, if I want to change profile, I always get server error 500 and things like that.
It was great hearing from all of you, I hope someone still reads this thread!
Edit: this is weird, even my post count and registry date is lost/changed... how do I get back my old account? I did password recovery to the email address of my old account, I got the link to change password, logged in and got this fresh account... why??
Edit2: Pff, I logged out and was unable to log back in - the great new login page always threw me back at the login page even though password is correct
So... one more question: What happened to AC Friends forum??? It was too hard on their database so they got rid of it??
